The new newsletter just came out, and it contained more disappointing news. Wait times increased AGAIN - every newsletter that comes out recently sounds like a broken record - Only 7 children were matched this month, and wait times increased by another month. Current wait times are now 32-33 months from log-in date, so now we're looking at being matched in December of 2009 with travel in the early part of 2010. Two more Christmas' without her....... That's hard to think about when we thought we'd be in China right now when we first started the process. It will be especially difficult next Christmas, knowing that she's sitting in an orphanage.
I have to say that we have been trying so hard to be positive, but I think it's going to grow increasingly difficult to remain positive when there aren't any real answers as to why China can't get it together and start matching these children who need homes so badly with the families who want them.
Josh and Lily, the founders of the agency we are using, have been wonderful and supportive, giving us as much information as they have. They have expressed how much they have been praing for things to improve, and we can tell that this is difficult for them as well. They are truly passionate about the children, and we know this is breaking their hearts too.
Ultimately, we know that this is in God's hands, so we have to keep that in mind. Thanks so much for all of your prayers! Please continue praying that things will get better so that we can bring her home sooner than later!!
