This month's newsletter is out, and no increase in time lines from last month, which is good news!!! For those of you who don't know, we found out in December that China increased the fee we pay to the orphanage in China by $2000 (from $3000 to $5000), which we are hoping is good news! The fee hasn't been increased in the 17 or 18 years since they opened up to foreign countries for adoption. Our hope is that this motivates the orphanages to get the children "paper ready" so that they can be matched with their forever families. Current wait time from LID (Log-In-Date) to match is 34 months. This means we can anticipate our match next February with travel in March/April 2010.
