We had such a great time this weekend. We got to see our goddaughters and our friends, the Lang's, who just moved across town.
We met up with Shawna on Saturday evening and ate dinner at Abe's (Brewery Bar). Shawna asked for extra straws, and they all ended up on Brooke's diet coke (it was really Shawna's diet coke, but Brooke decided that it should be hers.)
Ashley had SO much fun. She and Darren colored and "high fived" each other through dinner. After dinner, we went to the mall where Brooke melted until she they got to throw pennies in the fountain, and then they got to play at Pottery Barn for a few minutes. Darren and Ashley played hide and seek almost the entire time we were there, and I played with her as we exited the mall, hiding behind all of the posts we could find. Ashley had so much fun - Shawna says we've given her (Ashley) a whole new outlook on the mall. Sorry, guys!
On Sunday, we went to Turner and Angela's new house for pizza and Guitar Hero, and we ended up wrestling too! The kids had a lot of fun. When we got there, it was so nice outside, and the kids were playing with their balls and riding their bikes. Here's Sydney with the football.
Cayden on his bike!
Cayden and Sydney wrestling!

We had such a good time visiting with them. We are sad that they aren't right across the street from us anymore, but we're thankful that we gained such good friends and that they'll always remain in our lives. Thanks for the awesome brownies, Angela! Now that I know your secret recipe, I can't wait to make them at my house.
