Jasper, our "Elf on a Shelf" arrived from the North Pole on November 28th, a few days after Thanksgiving. Those little elves usually show up the day after Thanksgiving, but Santa knew Peyton was being a good girl, so he sent our personal elf a few days late just to keep an eye on Peyton to make sure she really was being good. Peyton was fascinated by him and picked up on the sign for elf right away. Jasper would often return to the same spot for a few days in a row since he knew Peyton didn't quite understand his purpose, but whenever we'd ask her, "Where's the elf?" in sign language, she'd ask the question back to us in sign language, and we'd go looking for him. Her face would light up each time we found him!
As you can see, above and below, Peyton really is a good girl. Here she is helping us fill the cat's bowls with food and taking it back to the food holder! She LOVES to help around the house!

And here are two of my favorite babies - Peyton (pretending to be asleep) and Riley. This doesn't happen often because Peyton scares the crap out of Riley because she moves too much! I loved this moment when they were both content snuggled up with me.

Silly girl! Peyton loved the ham from Thanksgiving. On this evening, I tore some up for her and put it on a plate. She carried it to "the chair" in the family room, crawled into it, and sat there and ate it. Here she is teasing us as we try to snap a few shots - below is a picture of her munching away on her ham.
Riley - he's gone from casually sitting on the kitty chaise to full-on lounging! I love that cat!
Stockings hung by the fireplace with care... We ordered new stockings this year for me, Darren, and Peyton. I just love them! Berkley and Riley kept their same stockings.
