Photographing a Toddler

We knew there was no way Peyton was going to sit still for photos, so me loving to take pictures the way I do, I thought we'd just catch a few quick photos...of a toddler...what was I thinking?!

She started off posing for me as soon as I set up the tripod, but as soon as she realized I was serious and wanted to pose her MY way........

...all bets were off!  I took about 80 pictures before I finally gave up and ended up with a couple I was happy enough with for our Christmas card.  I didn't want to have to put her through it again.  Check out a few of the photos we went through to get to the 2 we selected for this year's card.  She's such a cute girl, even when she's crying.  Am I mean?

After I gave up and started playing with her, she started smiling again (of course!), and got some cute candid shots - the other photo I ended up selecting for our card came from this group of shots, but you won't see it pictured here - you'll have to wait for our Christmas card!

Merry Christmas!

Photographing a toddler is a pain! Either they don't hold still or they do and won't look at you. She is such a cutie!!

There are way more than two cute pics! She is adorable and I absolutely love getting to see her fun personality through the pictures. I like the spontaneous much more than the posed.
You both did a GREAT job!
