Trey (Joni’s son) spent the day with Darren. He woke up the earliest so he could go to work with Darren and was able to watch the game from the sidelines. Kristi, Joni, and I stayed and came later so we could get lunches together and get the other kids and ourselves ready. As each kid got ready, they trickled into the kitchen for some breakfast. Peyton sat on Coleman’s lap and played with the things she’d been gathering and then discovered how cool Shelbi was because she let her play with her cell phone!
We were really impressed with ourselves – we made it out of the house with 6 kids – ahead of schedule! Tanner “called” sitting by Peyton in the car (and was her car buddy for the entire time they were here), and she grabbed his hand as we got out of the car to walk from our parking spot to walk down to the field! So cute!
